Gameplay

Ten is a cardgame from the makers of Point Salad, a popular card game. This one seems to be another great success, read my thoughts about it below!

In this game players try to collect long rows of numbercards. They earn points for the longest connected rows of numbers.

On a turn players draw cards until they choose to stop or until they bust because they have more than 11 in money cards or more than 11 as the netto value of all cards (numbercards-moneycards). This way players push their luck in order to collect as many numbercards on their turn.

When a wildcard appears, game is paused and all players bid on them!

Thoughts

👍 It's an addictive push your luck game that works solid
👍 (Besides tokens) great production value
👍 Easy to learn
👍 Not too punishing to 'go bust'
👍 The bidding is very well implemented
👍 Fun solomode

➖ When you're behind it can be a bit demotivating
➖ The Dutch version has cardboard tokens, they are too small in my opinion. I would've preferred the original ones

Solomode

The solo mode is easy to maintain and has a lot of difficulties. I think it's great small games like these are getting Solomodes!

A copy of this game was provided to me by White Goblin Games for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
