Gameplay
As some of you might already know from the original Dice Throne, this is a dice game in which players start the game with 50 live points and try to get the live points of the other player (or the other team!) reduced to 0 in order to win the game.
With each character fighting in its own unique way, players battle each other in a yahtzee style game, trying to collect certain sets of dice that come with specific powers. Like with Yahtzee, players get 3 rolls and are able to manipulate these rolls by some special player powers and/or tokens.
With this 4-character box players play as the characters Scarlet Witch, Loki, Thor and Spider man. Each character comes with its own @gametrayz box filled with a game board, dice, tokens and a character sheet explaining some of the character specific rules.
Thoughts
Marvel Dice Throne is a fun and quick dicegame which implements the marvel characters in a very cool way!
👍 The Marvel characters are very well implemented in the gameplay, which I enjoy very much since I'm watching all movies atm. The different characters ensure a nice replayability.
👍 The gameplay is simple and easy to teach. There is a nice tension with the dice rolls and the push your luck element fits the game.
👍 The component quality is top notch. Each character has a ready to go insert and a solid reference sheet.
👍 I like the versitality of the game where you can combine these characters with any dice throne characters. Also I'm supercurious for the other marvel characters!
➖ Each character requires some learning. This is ok, if you are prepared for this. Once you know the rules of the character it's plug and play.
