Gameplay

🪁 in #Kites, players try to keep their kites flying high up in the air!

🪁 They do so by taking turns playing cards in order to flip the timers, that represent the differently coloured kites, before they run out.

🪁 When the players run through the deck without the timers running out, they win the game, if not, they lose!

🪁 There’s also a simple variant to ease thungs uo a bit and there are also some special cards that can be added to the deck of cards to spice things up a bit! 🌶️

Thoughts

Kites was high on my list when visiting Spiel this year. And I must say it didn’t disappoint! I really like how easy and fun this game is! It’s also quite chaotic, but that often ensures a good laugh amongst the players.

👍 very quick to learn, easy to teach

👍 beautiful artwork by Beth Sobel

👍 gives an exciting cooperative feel, because you want to keep the kites in the air

👍 the gameplay can be tailored to your needs with an easier variant and harder cards to add

👍➖ it’s chaotic, stressfull and there will be screaming involved, be aware 😄.
