Gameplay

You start the game with 7 cards in hand and take turns playing cards in front of you. You play cards either with the same number (not regarding the color) or cards with numbers of the same colour going up or down.

After this you have to add one new card to your hand, taking one from the main deck, or you choosing one that is visible in the pile of your opponents.

You continue doing so until one of you has no cards left. That particular person will get the bonus card of that round and put this card beneath his or her beach towel. The other players may add the highest card still in hands, except for the one who has the highest sum of numbers still in hand.

BUT you can also duck! If you have a handvalue of <10 you can shout out DUCK! If your handvalue is lower than that of the others, you gain this rounds reward card AND get to put highest card in hand under your towel. After 5 rounds the game ends and the one with the most points placed under the towel wins the game!

Thoughts

This game is a great game to take with you to the beach, not just because of the theme, but also because it is easy to understand and a whole lot of fun to play!

There is a lot of luck involved, but still it feels exciting. It feels a bit like Monopoly Deal to me, or Spite and Melace.

Little fun game!
