Gameplay

Troops prepare on the edges of the battlefield. You and your opponent face each other in an epic battle. In this game you simulate the battle of the Bulge by trying to reach the end of the street(s) mentioned on your secret objective card with your troops. Each time you reach the end of a street you will gain a victory card, giving you a special power to use.

The troops consist of different units; anti tank mines, tanks, infantry and special units such as the general and the spy. They defeat each other following a certain rock paper scissor method. When defeated, all same units will be wiped off the board, so if smart, you alternate between troops for safety.

Thoughts

This game is so unique! For starters, it is all made out of wooden components which really gives it a special feel when playing. Also it contains beautiful artwork.

The gameplay is solid. You play your troops back and forth aiming for your objective and try to read your opponents actions to anticipate on this. A perfect game for a Sunday afternoon when it is really cold outside to snug up with a hot cup of tea and play.

A copy of this game was provided to me by Elwin Klappe for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
